How Motivo Works for a Supervisor

Motivo is here to provide you with an easy-to-use supervision platform, unlimited guidance and support, and valuable introductions to available supervisees.

We have an easy six-step process to give you a better idea of how it works.

Step 1.
GET STARTED: Create Your Supervisor Profile
Start here to create your FREE Motivo Supervisor profile and join our tele-supervision community! Tell us about yourself and be sure to upload your favorite professional headshot. Quick tip: If you don't have a professional headshot, try to ensure it's a professional-looking as possible (i.e. no selfies, Snaptchat filters, etc.)

Step 2.
GET APPROVED: Credential Check
Once you have completed your profile and it has been vetted and approved by our team, you will be listed in our Directory of Supervisors. Motivo supervisees around the world will now be able view your profile and learn more about you.

PLEASE NOTE: You must meet the qualifications as a supervisor in the state(s) where you are licensed in order to be listed in that state’s directory. If you are unsure if you meet the requirements to supervise in your licensure state(s), please check with your licensure board before moving forward. We've listed the contact information for each licensure board on this state-by-state tele-supervision page.

Step 3.
GET SEEN: The Waiting Game
Sit back and relax; the next part sometimes requires a bit of time and patience. Now that your profile is live, Motivo supervisees can find you when searching our Supervisor Directory. When they land on your profile and have notified us that they are interested in moving forward, we will contact you for available times to set up a short introduction call.

Step 4.
When a supervisee requests an introduction to you, we will coordinate a free 20-minute video consultation call between the you, the supervisee, and a Motivo onboarding specialist. This allows you both to get to know one another and ask questions before moving forward. We want to be sure it's the right fit on both sides!

Step 5.
GET MATCHED: Let's Move Forward!
After the Intro Call, we'll check in with you and the supervisee to determine if you'd both like to move forward. If it's a match, we'll add the supervisee to your Motivo dashboard, and you'll be able to begin scheduling sessions immediately! Don't worry, we'll be there to answer any questions you have along the way!

Step 6.
GET PAID: The Fun Part!
You handle the supervision, we’ll handle everything else! Our automated billing system will take care of charging the supervisee after each completed session. After each session, you'll mark attendance in the platform. This is an essential step to ensuring we know how to process payment accurately. At the end of each month, you will be sent a statement of your sessions to review for accuracy. You will promptly receive payment via direct deposit at the beginning of each month, for the previous month’s sessions.
